The promise of his first novel， fulfilled。 Perhaps it was because I knew the characters well from Osman’s first novel， but this book felt as though I as meeting old friends for tea and a fascinating new tale。 A wonderful read！

I didn’t think it was possible but this one is even better than the original Thursday Murder Club。 You’ll fall even more in love with the characters and meet some new ones along the way too！ The twists are great， there are moments that will put your heart strings， and best of all lots of lines that will make you laugh out loud！ Definitely add this one to the top of your “to read” list！

My rating is actually a 4。5。 Loved this book-the second one in the series。 Same lovable senior citizens -same beautiful English setting and more murders and mayhem。 The dialogue is especially wonderful ; you really do feel as if you’re having tea and scones with dear friends。 I certainly hope there will be further novels。 Definitely recommend it！

Enjoyed this easy read just as much as the first one。 Still plenty of twists & turns although the guilty party was probably a tad more predictable this time。 The characters are great fun。 Read it on kindle as hardback which is out now is pricey & the paperback is bazaarly only being released next year。 Pre-order available for the third book being released on kindle in Autumn 2022 but think I’ll just add it to my want to read list & come back to it at some point。

The man who died twice - Richard Osman R 77 of 123 - 2 10 21Brilliant。 Builds on the Thursday Murder club and answers lots of the questions you had about Elizabeth from that first book。 You benefit from reading them in order and its great to pick up with familiar and lovable characters。 Cracking one liners， cleverly crafted plot and some lovely feel good resolutions。 He is a very clever author。
